Tiny, sweet treats have sweet cucumber flavor combined with a tangy sourness. Yields a bonanza of tiny cukes for salads, snacks, and pickling. A fine spectacle cascading from a hanging basket or climbing on a trellis. Heirloom, 60-70 days.
Cucamelons are slow to get started, but really hit their stride in later summer and will grow at least 6 feet long, so benefit from having a trellis to grow up. They produce tons of fruits, but each fruit is quite small. I find they taste best if they are harvested when less than 1" long. I also grow these at our local school learning garden, and the kids love to snack on them!
