Flower Bars and Private Workshops

Flower bars are like a buffet for bouquet making, and are a fun and unexpected addition to a shower, corporate event, or girl's night! Larger vases of flowers are placed along a table, and your guests get to go down the "buffet" and select the flowers they like best, then use them to create their own bouquet or arrangement. This is similar to my flower arranging workshops, but there is no instructor present during the event. You are free to arrange as you like.

Flower bars are available to make 2 sized bouquets, either small or large. Vessels to hold your bulk stems are included, but vases for your guests are not, so plan on providing those yourself. You'll also need to provide scissors, garden shears, or secateurs for your guests to trim stems as they work.

Flower bars are priced per person, and have a minimum of $100. For small bouquets, bars are $10 per person, and you will get enough stems to make a petite posy with at least 5 stems per person. For larger bouquets, bars are $25 per person, and you will get at least 10 stems per person to make a full sized bouquet.

If you would feel more confident with an instructor's help, contact Carrie at thegreengardenmama@gmail.com to schedule a private workshop instead of a bouquet bar. Workshops start at $49 per person with a 5 person minimum.

Here's what you need to know for Flower Bars and Private Workshops:

  • We use 100% Green Garden Mama grown flowers, which means we do not order in from a wholesaler. Bouquet bars are only available during the outdoor growing season, from June through October.
  • Delivery is available for an additional rate, depending on your location. Please check in with us to see if you are within our delivery radius and what the delivery fee might be. Otherwise plan to pick up your flowers from our porch.
  • Our flowers are highly seasonal, and Mother Nature can be unpredictable at times. We do not guarantee any specific types of flowers in advance, but will always select from our best when it's time to make your arrangements.
  • While we will do our best to accommodate specific color requests, we are not always able to fulfill such requests. We work best with color schemes like "soft pastel", "bright and bold", "dark and moody", or "autumn colors".
  • In keeping with our sustainability goals, we use recycled and repurposed vases whenever possible. This means that you may receive a variety of different vases/vessels to hold your bulk flowers. We always take care to ensure that the vases complement each other to maintain a cohesive look. If you already have specific vases you'd like to utilize, great! We can easily transfer the bulk flowers into your own vessels.
  • There is a small charge for the vessels in your order (vases or decorative buckets). If you prefer to return the buckets/vases after your event and they are in excellent condition, we can refund that portion of your order or provide you with a small credit for a future order.
  • As long as you can keep your flowers somewhere cool (room temperature is fine), your flowers should last up to a week. We recommend picking up (or selecting delivery) no more than 2 days before your event so they will be at their very best.
  • To keep your flowers at their best, keep them cool (room temperature or lower) without allowing them to freeze. Place them out of direct sunlight and away from ripening fruits and veggies, which can release ethylene gas that can reduce the life of your flowers.
