Growing more densely in less space, an improvement upon the older, long vining spaghetti squash varieties. This was released in 1990 as the first compact, bush spaghetti squash becoming an AAS award winner and continues to be a successful variety, 25 years later. Oval shaped fruits have a smooth, light creamy yellow exterior, weighing in at 4-5 lbs and producing 4-6 per plant. 98 days.
Plant at least 2 feet apart, and can easily be trained up a supportive trellis.
Squash plants have a shallow root system, mulches help retain soil moisture and maintain even soil temperatures.
Squash plants are “dioecious” having both male and female flowers on the same plant. Male flowers will open first and the female flowers will open later.
