This mix of crocus bulbs contains several varieties to create a cheery mix of lavender, purple, yellow, and white in early spring. Each variety has six-petaled flowers with orange anthers that open and close on sunny days, and grass-like foliage with narrow, median silver-white stripes. Plants grow to about 5". 
 
In the fall, select a sunny spot with well-drained soil, and plant your bulbs 4-5" deep and 3-4" apart. Plants look best when planted in drifts. 
 
Bulbs can be planted in fall anytime before the ground freezes, but late October/early November is best in northern Illinois.
