Find Flowers
So you realized that purchasing flowers grown in your own area not only reduces your carbon footprint, but also supports the local wildlife - not to mention your flowers will be free of any dangerous chemical pesticides. You are our people! We knew we liked you ;)
So what's the next step?
The good news is there are so many options:
- For flower fanatics, check out our CSA subscription options, where you can get 5 weeks of flowers either picked up from our porch in Lombard, or delivered locally for an additional fee.
- For the occasional bouquet, flowers are available almost every week from February (yes, that's right - our indoor forced tulip program brings fresh flowers in winter!) up until mid October. To order an individual bouquet, please email thegreengardenmama@gmail.com to set up your order. Bouquets start at $25, vase arrangements start at $35, and if you have a larger budget in mind just let us know and we will build the perfect bouquet for your needs. Bouquets are all cut and made to order, so please allow a minimum of 24 hours notice to allow time to harvest and construct your bouquet.
- Looking for a fun learning experience? Check out our available workshops and classes throughout the season, from gardening info to bouquet building to pressed flower art, to wreath making.
- For local florists, please email thegreengardenmama@gmail.com if you'd like to be added to our weekly wholesale availability
- Small events - from a la carte wedding pieces to showers or birthdays, we offer small scale event flowers. Send an email to Carrie at thegreengardenmama@gmail.com to let us know more about your event.
- Private flower bars - a buffet of flowers for guests to create their own bouquets
- DIY bulk buckets - do you have a creative flair and are looking to design your own event flowers? Our DIY bulk buckets may be the perfect fit!
- Want to grow your own? Dahlia tubers are available for sale online from January through May, and can be shipped to most states nationwide. Perennials, potted dahlias, and veggie seedlings are available for in person pickup only, with presale beginning in February. Plants are available online until late May, or until they sell out.
