About Carrie
A life-long grower.
I have fond memories of planning childhood gardens that included rainbows of zinnias, and those same cheery flowers will always find a spot in my gardens today. There's not much I won't try at least once - I love to experiment with new plants and designs.
Creating or re-envisioning gardens is my jam, from edible gardens to container gardens, and everything in between. I also think you can never have too many flowers.
Before I started Green Garden Mama, I ran another small business designing and making wedding invitations. I loved designing pretty things and being a part of the biggest day of someone's life, but really struggled with the amount of waste my product was creating. I wanted to make pretty things in a more eco-friendly way. When I learned that 80% of cut flowers sold in the US are imported, and that there is a huge collection of small growers working to change that, I knew that this was a movement I wanted to be a part of.

Our Vision
I believe that food and flowers should be local. Whether your ambition is to produce nearly all of your own food, to have some fresh tomatoes and herbs for summer eating, to add natives to your yard, or some pretty flowers for your table, I'm here to help.
